Stachelbart-Verlag is a young independent children's book publisher with an extraordinary program.

Our books tell real life stories. In doing so, they address topics that are rarely discussed with children:

Keeping respect for every living creature, the sense of boredom or unfulfilled desires - and why taking a closer look is often worthwhile. Several of our books revolve around the topics of illness and disability.

The heroes of our books are mostly people who really exist or existed. Together with others, they have experienced real adventures - so captivating that children read on and on, even at night with a flashlight under the covers.

As an independent publisher, we stick to our goal of working sustainably, producing favorite books - not interchangeable mass-produced goods.
